The Child Find Program
was previously known as ICHAP (Infant Child Health Assessment
Program). The program
was developed to identify children at an early age at risk for
physical and developmental disabilities in order to provide
services as soon as possible through the Early Intervention
Program. The main
goals are to ensure all children have health insurance and a
physician to provide well child care including developmental
assessments.
Public
Health Nurses visit all newborns to inform the mothers of normal
childhood development and to ensure they are aware of the Early
Intervention Program.
