Public Health Nurses contact families with a new baby to notify them of the services
available for children and their families.
Any mother who wishes a home visit from a nurse
may receive one. Instruction on newborn care, infant growth and development, feeding, including breastfeeding support, is given whether it is your first or fifth baby.
