Supervisors BORN, FAGAN and ARGOTSINGER offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption:

RESOLUTION CREATING A CHILDREN’S SERVICES PROGRAM SPECIALIST POSITION IN THE PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Public Health Director and Administrative Officer recommend the creation of an additional Children’s Services Program Specialist in the Public Health Department to provide continuation of children’s services specializing in COVID-19 response investigation and contact tracing; and

WHEREAS, the reopening of the region’s secondary schools present various challenges to protecting the health of children, teachers, families other school employees and the community at large; and

WHEREAS, the Public Health Director reports that said Children’s Services Program Specialist position is eligible for New York State grant funding of between 50 percent to 75 percent reimbursement for a minimum of two (2) years duration; and

WHEREAS, the Committees on Human Services, Personnel and Finance have reviewed the current department structure and recommend creating an additional Children’s Services Program Specialist position in the Public Health Department in this instance; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, That a Children’s Services Program Specialist position (Start Rate: $20.21 per hour, Permanent Rate: $23.78 per hour), be and hereby is created effective immediately; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the Public Health Director, Budget Director and Personnel Director do each and every other thing necessary to further purport of this Resolution; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That certified copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the County Treasurer, Personnel Director, Public Health Director, Budget Director/County Auditor and Administrative Officer/Clerk of the Board.
