Founded 1827. Rich in Heritage. Saltsmans Hotel with melting snow and Historical Sign - Built by Peter Schram in early 1800. Established as Apollo Ballroom, eatery with stabling. Visited by Governors Rockefeller, FDR. Erected by Ephratah Historical Society. Caroga Creek tumbling down the rocky streambed as seen from Woods Rd Ephratah Volunteer Fire Department with flags billowing against a blue sky Feeder stream from Timmerman Creek with a small pool bounded by rocks and brush Historical Sign - Tillaboro Raid. Took place within a two mile radius of this marker April 20, 1779. Up this road is site of old Tillaboro Church and Cemetery. Erected by Ephratah Town Historical Society. Historical Sign - Rockwood 1905. On this creek once stood E. Young's grist & saw mill, L. Stahl Saw Mill, Stahl & Benjamin Paper Mill, making this a prosperous hamlet. Erected by Ephratah Historical Society. Short path through trees covered with fallen leaves and k=leading down to a calm Rockwood Lake Route 10 running downhill through the Autumn foliage and topping a hill. In the distance, Royal Mountain is spotlit by a swath of sunlight.  Ephratah - Caroga Creek on Woods Road facing southeast Summer 2021  A calm creek flowing away with spring reds and green sprouting from bare branches Lonely tire swing hanging over under fir trees and above cold white snow on the edge of a field
