National Walking Day is every year on the first Wednesday in April. National Walking Day is exactly as it sounds – a day to celebrate the easiest way to be the healthiest version of you. Walking for thirty to sixty minutes per day may sound like it isn’t much, but studies have shown that it can drastically improve your health and even help prevent ailments such as type II diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.

Spring Equinox

The first day of spring is when the sun shines directly on the celestial equator passing from south to north and the length of day and night are almost the same. This is also varyingly referred to as Astronomical Spring, the March Equinox or Vernal Equinox.

St Patrick's Day

St Patrick’s Day is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around March 17. 

It particularly remembers St Patrick, one of Ireland’s patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century. Parties featuring Irish food and drinks that are dyed in green food color are part of this celebration.

International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.

Spurred on by the universal female suffrage movement, International Women's Day originated from labor movements in North America and Europe during the early 20th century.

World Compliment Day is celebrated every March 1 to spread joy through simple verbal affirmations of appreciation. With less focus on providing material representations of appreciation, this day is meant to cost absolutely nothing at all, so everyone can participate! 

Celebrated on February 15, Susan B Anthony Day marks the birthday of one of the United States' most prominent female civil rights leaders. Susan B Anthony Day is a legal observance in some states including California, Florida, New York and Wisconsin. (Massachusetts observes in August and West Virginia in November.)
