Public Defender FAQ
The Fulton County Public Defender's Office represents indigent individuals in town, village, city, county and family courts as well as drug court, integrated domestic violence court, family treatment court and parole matters.
The Public Defender's Office provides legal representation pursuant to United States and New York State Constitutions, as well as federal and state law, to individuals who cannot afford to retain legal counsel.
The office is composed of the Public Defender and six (6) Assistants
